Yes, the weapons will form, but they won't prosper.
I am reminded of the scripture hope deferred makes the heart sick. But the longing fulfilled is like a tree of life! This morning I am deciding not to allow my hope to be deferred. I will not allow my hope to be determined by the manifestations of His promises. But rather my hope rest in the promise being fulfilled!
Each day that we patiently wait is not a day that we are determined as hopeless, but more that we are redefined as a believer! Very importantly noted, at the bottom of this picture you will see the stage lighting! I took this picture with my cell phone. This means that I was in the congregation. Being fed!
Leaders must routinely and intentionally plan and take a seat at the table to be fed as well. As my pastor Kevin Bordeaux has taught, I refuse to be the starving Baker! One of my coworkers used to disclaimer her honesty with "let's face it". She is 74 years old, fierce, and held no regard to giving fluffy words at the expense of her elevated stress levels. She always spoke to the outright examples of executive and coworkers bleeding their personal issues into the work scene. Their insecurities, their control issues, they're boundary issues and passive aggressive tendency we're all unwelcomed behaviors that she openly rebuked at her entry level position.
As Leaders who are conscious of our emotional intelligence, we must be aware when we are bleeding while we are leaving. We must ask for help, and have the wisdom to fade in the background while we seek balance. We must trust our team and delegate as often as we can. We must always seek out Joshuas and create experience worker subgroups to handle specific projects within their skill set, for those who are passionate. Ensure the foundational structure is set on good days, so the bumpy days are firmly supported! Take a vow and refuse to be the reactive one who is bleeding while leading. |
